Learn how to live with diabetes, not be ruled by
it. After almost 40 years of working with women
to improve their health, we realize that no matter how many
times your doctor tells you to exercise, eat right and manage
your stress, it's easier said than done. People often need
more guidance and support to put that knowledge into action.
That's why we developed this special program with the Joslin Diabetes Center at Harvard Medical School
to help you put it all together and develop a routine
that you can easily fit into your busy life back home.
If you're a woman with Type II diabetes or pre-diabetes,
the Living Well™ program can help you take back control
of your life. Carolyn Heller had Type 2 diabetes
for four years by the time she came to Green Mountain. Here,
she learned how to combat diabetes burnout. Now she no longer
asks the question, "Why me?"
"It’s not Oz or magic," says Heller. "It’s
great classes, delicious food, diverse groups of women and
information from well-qualified and caring people. Cooking
classes with the chef. Peaceful sessions in yoga and meditations.
The setting was glorious."
